Just like in a championship game, the small things like – turnovers, penalties, missed field goals, and/or missed free throws can have the potential to cause a major upset.
Your budget is designed to help you uncover the truth about your finances so that you can make the necessary adjustments to your spending and/or income so that you can be victorious and win the game.
What’s Next?
The next step is to develop a plan and put it into action. Your plan doesn’t have to be drastic, it can be simple and easy. You can just start making some small adjustments to your spending habits, such as cutting back on the coffee bar, or real bar for that matter, eliminating magazine subscriptions, reducing your cell phone/cable plan, increasing your savings, etc. You will find that making these small changes will significantly improve your financial situation.
Now before we forget, if you are in a relationship you need to remember then both of you need to work on your budget together, so you will need list both of your incomes, all of your combined expenses, and work on your money playbook together.
Once you start budgeting successfully, you will find that the word “budget” is a really a four letter word and that word is “Good.”
